What does it mean?
The Thursday injury reports are out for the Atlanta Falcons and the Minnesota Vikings in advance of their game on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium, so let’s go ahead and have a look at those.
The Falcons had a couple of changes to their injury report from yesterday, so let’s review theirs first. It’s important to keep in mind that because of the facility closure that the Falcons had today, this is an “estimated” practice report.
Did Not Participate
- S Jaylinn Hawkins (concussion)
- WR Julio Jones (hamstring)
- C Alex Mack (non-injury, new addition to injury report)
- DT Deadrin Senat (non-injury)
Limited Participation
- DE Dante Fowler (ankle)
- WR Russell Gage (shoulder)
- TE Hayden Hurst (back)
- DE Grady Jarrett (back)
- DE Takk McKinley (groin)
- S Keanu Neal (hamstring, upgrade from DNP)
- LB Foye Oluokun (knee)
Full Participation
- S Ricardo Allen (elbow, upgrade from LP)
Mostly positive developments for the Falcons on their list, save for whatever issue it is that Mack is dealing with.
Let’s move on to the good guys.
Did Not Participate
- CB Kris Boyd (hamstring, downgrade from LP)
- RB Dalvin Cook (groin)
- CB Holton Hill (foot)
- WR K.J. Osborn (hamstring)
- G Dru Samia (wrist, new addition to injury report)
Limited Participation
- DT Jaleel Johnson (back, upgrade from DNP)
Full Participation
- C Garrett Bradbury (finger/knee, upgrade from LP)
- FB C.J. Ham (shoulder, upgrade from LP)
The big one here is Samia, who has started the past couple of games for the Vikings since Pat Elflein was placed on injured reserve. It could be “next man up” for the Vikings at right guard, and that man could very well be rookie Ezra Cleveland, who reportedly got the first-team snaps at right guard on Thursday. Oli Udoh could factor into that spot as well.
Final injury reports tomorrow, folks. We’ll have them for you here as soon as we get them.
