The team also cut Cohl Cabral from the practice squad
The Los Angeles Rams released linebacker Natrez Patrick from the 53-man roster and rookie center Cohl Cabral from the practice squad on Tuesday. Patrick’s spot will likely be taken by rookie safety Jordan Fuller, who has missed the last month with a shoulder injury but is expected to start Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue notes that Los Angeles still has another open roster spot on the 53-man but that could be taken by the return of Ogbonnia Okornokwo in Week 11.

So the way this probably works is they will activate Jordan Fuller to the 53 and then Patrick is eligible to come into that open PS spot if he clears waivers.
Patrick never played any snaps on defense but had 120 on special teams over seven games. The former undrafted free agent could potentially come back on the practice squad if he’s not picked up by another team, which seems unlikely.
Cabral was an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State and while the team is light on long-term answers at center, it is improbable that Cabral would have been it. Nothing against Cabral, who probably went undrafted in large part due to having a smaller frame than most players at his position, but a reality of undrafted free agents and the fact that he didn’t make the final roster and was released from the practice squad midway through his rookie year doesn’t bode well. If Sean McVay is wrong about this one, so be it, but Cabral may also be available in a week.
