Think electing a President is harder than handling happy then angry then happy then heartbroken then happy Browns’ fans?
Houston is home to the space program so it’s only fitting for the local Browns Backers chapter to be entitled “Space City Dawg Pound.” In 2017 and also 2018, Cleveland had away games in Houston. As the host chapter, Space City Dawg Pound held a huge BBQ tailgate party each of those years which was attended by over 200 Browns’ fans from the local area as well as traveling fans from around the country.
In addition to a great time, funds were raised at these events to benefit selected charities such as The Gary Sinise Foundation, Cleveland Browns Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Fisher House, and Give Us Paws.
Space City Dawg Pound has been a chapter since 1994 and is the largest chapter in the State of Texas.
Just west of Houston, Northwest Tucson Browns Backers President Jesse McCrea won a barking contest hosted by the chapter. By the way, he was then 10-years old. Each contestant had 60 seconds to make their bark the best, with the winner hailed from the noise level of the crowd for each contestant. And where is his coveted “Top Dawg Golden Leash” trophy today? Somewhere.....
Each week, DBN invites five Browns Backers chapter Presidents to provide their insight with the outcome of Cleveland’s next opponent.

Week 2 prediction: “After the bye week, a rested Browns team returns with key players recovered from injuries - most noticeably Nick Chubb. Cleveland dominates on the ground and time of possession keeping the ball out of Texans’ QB Deshaun Watson’s hands. Browns run to a win 31-24.”

Favorite current player: Baker Mayfield

Week 2 prediction: “The Browns haven’t beaten the Texans since 2007 and lost the last five straight matchups. This is the year where we will finally turn the tide as the franchises are headed in opposite directions. The Browns have a winning record and are poised to compete for the playoffs while the Texans are in turmoil, having only won one game (as of Oct 31) and already fired head coach Bill O’Brien after he traded away All-Pro and fan favorite DeAndre Hopkins in the offseason. The Browns have also lost OBJ for the remainder of the season and are waiting for Nick Chubb to return. But the offensive line and Kareem Hunt are still providing a strong running game. The Browns’ defense is the weak point of this team and will give up some points. So, the offense will have to continue to score in the thirties to give the team a chance to win. Browns 35, Texans 24”

Southern New England Browns Backers
President: John Maston
Windsor Locks, Connecticut
Favorite former player: Jim Brown
Favorite current player: Myles Garrett
Viewing location: Chicago Sam’s
Best menu item: Meatball Parm Sliders
Week 2 prediction: “For Browns vs. Texans, I feel Case Keenum has eight years of experience and history with the play scheme of Kevin Stefanski. The return of Austin Hooper and possible return of Nick Chubb and Wyatt Teller are a huge plus. Now it is up to the chemistry that develops between the members of the offensive unit. The bye week gave Jarvis Landry and Myles Garrett an extra week to mend. The Texans like to pass. A healthy Myles can make it a long day for the Texans. Browns will win 24 to 21.”

Northwest Tucson Browns Backers
President: Jesse McCrea
Tucson, Arizona
Favorite former player: Bernie Kosar
Favorite current player: Nick Chubb
Viewing location: High 5 Grille
Best menu item: California chicken sandwich
Week 2 prediction: “With our depleted defense, his could be a shootout. Houston is a dumpster fire right now. They have an elite QB, but they fired their coach and have not been very successful this year. Coach Stefanski has shown he is up to a challenge and I believe the Browns will take this one. Browns 38, Texans 27.”
