Things are sure to be interesting to open Week 9 with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers (5-2) and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4) — two teams who are missing more than a few players both from injury and recent COVID-19/reserve designations.
The Packers lead the all-time series between these teams, 32-28-1, including two of the past three meetings. They last faced off in California back in November 2019, with the Niners getting the home victory, 37-8.
