The initial prognosis for Sunday’s 8:20 p.m. ET matchup at CenturyLink Field.

The New England Patriots returned to the practice fields on Wednesday with a full 53-man roster in attendance.

But five Patriots players participated in a limited capacity as preparations for the Seattle Seahawks ramp up, including defensive tackle Adam Butler and cornerback Jonathan Jones.

Here’s the first injury report ahead of Sunday’s 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff at CenturyLink Field.

DID NOT PARTICIPATE

  • Patriots: no players listed
  • Seahawks: OT Duane Brown (resting veteran), OT Cedric Ogbuehi (pectoral), DE Rasheem Green (neck)

The Patriots placed four on injured reserve during the initial week of the regular season. Running back Damien Harris, wide receiver Gunner Olszewski, offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste and defensive tackle Beau Allen will be eligible to return to the active roster once third game of the 2020 campaign is in the rearview.

Three Seahawks were sidelined on Wednesday. Brown, the 35-year-old left tackle, received a rest day.

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

  • Patriots: WR Julian Edelman (knee), WR N’Keal Harry (shoulder), DT Adam Butler (shoulder), LB Brandon Copeland (knee), CB Jonathan Jones (foot)
  • Seahawks: WR Phillip Dorsett (foot)

The top-targeted receivers remain managed in practice for the Patriots entering Week 2. But Butler and Jones are new arrivals on the injury report due to shoulder and foot ailments, respectively. They are joined on New England’s defensive side of the ball by Copeland, who saw eight snaps at linebacker and 14 snaps on special teams in the opener versus the Miami Dolphins. He’d be listed as partial with a knee issue on Wednesday.

Dorsett would be the lone limited participant for the Seahawks. The former Patriots wideout was inactive for Week 1 due to a foot injury.

FULL PARTICIPATION

  • Patriots: TE Dalton Keene (neck), LB Cassh Maluia (knee)
  • Seahawks: no players listed

Rookies in Keene and Maluia were among the inactives for New England last Sunday. Keene, the third-round tight end out of Virginia Tech, had been questionable due to a neck injury. And also questionable was Maluia, the sixth-round linebacker out of Wyoming, due to a knee injury.

Both have since graduated to full participation.
