Colts Thursday Injury Report: Doyle, Vinatieri expected to play, Hooker out, Mack questionable

The Indianapolis Colts have released their injury report for Friday, their third update of the week as they get ready to travel out West to face the Oakland Raiders:

Wide receiver Ryan Grant, tight end Erik Swoope, running back Robert Turbin, safety Malik Hooker were all ruled out for Sunday’s game, while Jihad Ward was placed on the IR after suffering ligament damage to his left ankle against the Buffalo Bills.

Two big names are expected to play against the Raiders this week, as Adam Vinatieri will play through a right groin injury and tight end Jack Doyle will make aim for his first appearance since playing in Week 2.

After sitting out of practice yesterday, running back Marlon Mack returned to the field as a full participant on Friday. Mack was limited or out of a majority of this week’s practices, so keep an eye over the weekend on his status, as he remains questionable to play on the final report.

Jabaal Sheard returned to practice as a full participant after missing Thursday’s practice with an abdomen issue. This was his first time on the injury report all season, and he’s questionable to play this weekend.

One last thing to keep an eye on is the status of standout rookie Darius Leonard. The former second-round pick has been handling an ankle injury since tweaking it in the early stages of October and did not participate on Friday. This was, however, his first appearance on the report and could just be a precaution to make sure he’s ready to go come game time.
