Monday Night Football, Week 6. Tonight the San Francisco 49ers travel to Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers in a matchup of disappointing NFC teams.
The 1-4 49ers were expected to make a run at the playoffs this year. However, once star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went down for the season the 49ers’ hopes were dashed. They have struggled to stay afloat, with 2nd year tight end George Kittle one of the few bright spots in a dismal season.
The Packers almost suffered the same fate as the 49ers as Aaron Rodgers suffered a knee injury that has hobbled him throughout the season, though he has avoided the injured reserve list so far. Any Rodgers led team is a threat to win any game, but this Packers team has gotten off to a sluggish 2-2-1 start.
It’s the 49ers and the Packers in a battle of NFC disappointments looking to stay out of the cellar on Monday Night Football.
Enjoy the game everybody.
