Rams-Packers: Final injury report

The Rams are likely down two in Week 8.

The Los Angeles Rams are taking on the Green Bay Packers in Week 8 and have two Rams of note on the final injury report:

So it’s just WR Cooper Kupp and LB Trevon Young likely out on Sunday. Concerns about DL Michael Brockers or DL Ndamukong Suh can be allayed at least until kickoff.

As for Kupp and Young replacements, we know how things will look for the former as WR Josh Reynolds and WR Nick Williams look to get involved. As for Young, John Franklin-Myers will take some of Young’s snaps. It also means DL Tanzel Smart will likely get activated on Sunday.

Here’s GB’s side:

Here’s what they had to say over at Acme Packing Company, the SB Nation community for Packers fans:

Finally, the Green Bay Packers are a mostly healthy team in the middle of the season. Ahead of their week eight matchup with the Los Angeles Rams and coming out of their bye week, the Packers listed just three players on the week’s final injury report, and all three of those players are listed as Questionable, the least-serious injury status available.

Those three players include a pair of wide receivers, one of whom is veteran Randall Cobb. Cobb has missed each of the past three games with his hamstring injury, and his last game was a forgettable one, as he dropped a pair of would-be first down receptions and fumbled late in the game against Washington. Although he was listed as questionable, Cobb was also listed as a full participant in the Packers’ Friday practice, which suggests that he is a good bet to play in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Joining Cobb as questionable are offensive tackle Jason Spriggs, who missed the Packers’ week six game after suffering an ankle injury in practice the week prior, and rookie wideout Equanimeous St. Brown. St. Brown appeared first on this week’s report with a knee issue and has been limited all week — if Cobb is able to suit up, that combined with Geronimo Allisonseemingly being fully cleared could limit the rookie’s snaps.

Now to the really good news. The secondary should be at full strength this week, as cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Bashaud Breeland both received no injury status. Alexander was a full participant with Breeland still limited on Friday, but all signs point to Breeland making his Packers debut. Likewise, Allison was limited but did not have an injury status, so he should be ready to go as the Packers’ #2 outside receiver opposite Davante Adams.
