In-game updates
Injury Update:
Chad Wheeler left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury, bringing in back up Brian Mihalik at right tackle.
Halftime update:
We’ve reached halftime at the Meadowlands with Washington ahead of the Giants 7-3. It took until just over a minute remaining for the Giants to get on the board with a 37-yard field goal to answer Adrian Peterson’s first-quarter receiving touchdown. Washington almost went up 10-0 at the end of the half, but a missed 41-yard field goal kept the lead at a touchdown before the Giants drove down for a field goal of their own.
The Giants came close to points in the second quarter, but Eli Manning threw an ill-advised pass to Odell Beckham and was intercepted in the red zone by D.J. Swearinger.
Another angle of the Swearinger INT. #Giants run the dusty concept (double unders outside, corner from the inside). Nice pass off and adjustment. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/kdsLaIfwNQ

At the start of the game, the Giants won the coin toss and deferred, so they will get the ball to start the second half.
1st quarter update
The Giants won the coin toss to start the game and once again opted to start the game on defense and will receive the second-half kickoff. The Giants were able to get Washington off the field on their first possession, but failed to do much with their own first possession of the game. Washington found their way in to the endzone on the next possession, topping their drive with a 7-yard touchdown catch by Adrian Peterson.
The Giants’ second time with the football saw them quickly land in third and long before a great throw and catch from Manning to Beckham.
