The Bills could be down another offensive starter.
The Buffalo Bills are down another pass catcher as starting tight end Charles Clay is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. He has zero catches so far today.
Clay has 19 receptions for 169 yards on the season, despite 31 targets. He has one fumble, as well, and no touchdowns.
While Clay has been injured and repeatedly given rest days, he’s only missed seven games in three years in Buffalo despite consistently being on the injury report. He has had ongoing back problems.
Clay will be replaced in the lineup by backups Jason Croom and Logan Thomas. Croom has a touchdown and 10 receptions on the year while Thomas has three receptions.
Buffalo’s receiving corps hasn’t helped the quarterbacks much this year, often being shown unable to gain separation. Buffalo has been so down on their pass catchers, Terrelle Pryor, signed just a few days ago, got the start against the Chicago Bears today.
