Gordon has missed the last two games due to a Grade 2 MCL sprain that he sustained in their game against the Arizona Cardinals.
In their previous two games, the Chargers rushing attack has taken a major step back in production as they’ve failed to reach the 100-yard rushing mark as team in either contest.
In week 13 against the Steelers, Justin Jackson found some room to run as he led the team in rushing with 63 yards and a score on just eight carries. Against the Bengals last week, Ekeler led the way with 66 yards on 15 carries, also finding pay-dirt a single time.
With Ekeler out tonight due to concussion symptoms. the backfield will be headed by Jackson and fellow rookie Detrez Newsome, a fellow rookie and undrafted free agent from Western Carolina.
