Jaguars are 10 point underdogs in finale

The Jacksonville Jaguars enter the final game of the season with Blake Bortles at the helm as double-digit underdogs on the road against the Houston Texans. The line opened up at Jaguars +10 and didn’t move an inch when the team announced Blake Bortles would be starting once again.

It’s weird that prior to the season we were wondering the playoff implications this game would have as the finale, and while it still does, we were thinking if it would be an AFC South sealing game for the Jaguars... not a potential bye sealing game for the Texans.

Given how the Jaguars offense has played the last few weeks, with both Cody Kessler and Blake Bortles, it’s no surprise that they’re double-digit underdogs on the road. They’ve struggled to score meaningful points with either player and the last time Bortles played Houston he was benched right after halftime after completing half his passes for 61 yards and fumbling twice.

In a way, it’s nice to see Bortles sail off into the sunset in the finale. He’s a good guy, he’s just not a good quarterback.
