NIU v. Buffalo: 7 PM on ESPN2
-Anthony Johnson, WR, Buffalo: Buffalo’s constant receiving threat; Anthony Johnson has been one of the best receivers in the FBS over the last two years. The smaller receiver is technically savvy with good burst.
-Sutton Smith, Edge, NIU: Sutton Smith may be undersized but there’s nothing small about his game. The junior defender has been a star for the Huskies and will need to be disruptive against Buffalo.
Utah v. Washington: 8 PM on FoX
-Chase Hansen, LB, Utah: The Utes leader on defense will likely decide the outcome of the PAC-12 championship. The senior is a do itsll defender who can rush the passer, stop the run and make plays in coverage. He will be all over the field tonight. How will he fare?
-Byron Murphy, CB, Washington: Washington has a handful of impressive defenders but few more impressive than their redshirt sophomore cornerback. The long defender will be tested in coverage often.
University of Louisiana Lafayette v. Appalachian State: 12 PM on ESPN
-Ja’Marcus Bradley, WR, ULL: Despite only catching 34 passes, The Ragin’ Cajuns receiver had 10 receiving touchdowns. The 6’1” junior will be targeted often on Saturday to help upset a tough App State team.
-Clifton Duck, CB, App State: It’s hard getting a lot of Press when you’re playing in the Sun Belt, but Clifton Duck has been a star for the Mountaineers for the last two years. The smaller cornerback is a stingy playmaker and he will be tested by ULL’s passing game.
UAB v. MTSU: 1:30 PM on CBSSN
- Chris Woolbright, LB, UAB: UAB has had a major renaissance and it’s due in part to their defense. Chris Woolbright has lead the Blazers all year and will need a big performance against an MTSU offense with some firepower.
- Brent Stockstill, QB, MTSU: The Blue Raiders have had a highly efficient passing game with Stockstill at the helm and the small passer could generate some interest as a back up prospect.
Texas v. Oklahoma: 12 PM on ABC
-Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma: One of the most explosive players in college football, Marquise Brown will be a catalyst in this high scoring championship game. Brown will see a lot of targets.
-Lil Jordan Humphrey, WR, Texas: In a game that will have a basketball score, it’s always good to pay attention to the guys playing Wing. Lil Jordan Humphrey has some of the clutchest hands in the country and he’ll need more than a few big plays against a vulnerable Oklahoma defense.
Georgia v. Alabama: 4 PM on CBS
-Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia: College ball’s best cornerback has a huge test against a prolific Crimson Tide passing game. No matter who is lining up across from Baker, the senior corner will be tested and how he responds could determine the game.
-Quinnen Williams, IDL, Alabama: The fastest rising player this season will have a huge spotlight on him against Georgia. No defensive player has been as disruptive as Quinnen Williams this year and Georgia’s running game will be the next challenge for him.
Memphis v. UCF: 3:30 PM on ABC
-Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis: The Tigers’ best weapon is in their backfield. Henderson has been a big play machine and will need a few of those against the undefeated Knights.
-Titus Davis, EDGE, UCF: The leader on the Kingths defense is the highly disruptive senior Titus Davis. Davis will need a huge performance given Memphis’ offense and the Knights being without their starting quarterback.
Fresno State v. Boise State: 7:45 PM On ESPN
-Alex Mattison, RB, Boise State: The primary playmaker for the Broncos, Alex Mattison will see a lot of carries in the MWC championship. The Fresno defense is no slouch, but neither is Mattison.
-Keesean Johnson, WR, Fresno State: The Bulldogs’ surprise season could be partially attributed to the big plays in their passing game. Their 6’3” pass catcher, Keesean Johnson has been huge for them this year and will have to show off against Boise’s tough passing defense.
Clemon v. Pitt: 8 PM on ABC
-Clelin Ferrell, EDGE, Clemson: It’s easy to overlook one guy on Clemson’s defensive line for the handful of other stars. However, Clelin Ferrell is still very much a top prospect in this NFL draft class. The dynamic pass rusher could have a field day against Pitt’s offense to help Clemson avoid an upset.
-Qadree Ollison, RB, Pitt: If Pitt pulls off an upset, it’ll be behind the pads of their senior running back. Ollison is a 225 pound bruiser and his hard running style is perfect to match with Clemson’s stingy defense. Ollsion will be launched into the Tigers’ teeth and how he handles his carries will be a big factor.
Northwestern v. Ohio State: 8 PM on Fox
-Flynn Nagel, WR, Northwestern: Northwestern is going to need to keep pace with Ohio State’s offense if it wants a chance to win the game. Flynn Nagel is a small receiver whose numbers don’t wow, but he is a tough player who makes the most of his targets. Can he keep Northwestern in the game?
-Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State: Parris Campbell is OSU’s do-it-all weapon and he will see at least 10 touches against Northwestern. Campbell is an electric playmaker and he could put a nail in Northwestern’s coffin with some big plays in the passing and running game.
