REIGNING SUPER BOWL CHAMPS STILL ALIVE
FINAL SCORE
THE EAGLES BEAT THE BEARS BY A FINAL SCORE OF 16 TO 15 WITH THE BEARS MISSING A LAST SECOND FIELD GOAL!!! THE EAGLES ARE HEADED TO NEW ORLEANS FOR THE DIVISIONAL ROUND!!! AAAAH!!!!
FOURTH QUARTER
Bears 11th drive: A big kick return from Cohen puts the Bears at their own 42-yard line with 48 seconds and one timeout remaining. Oh dear. Then Trubisky takes a shot to Robinson to put the Bears in field goal range, Maddox beat in coverage again. Bears set up for a 43-yard field goal with 10 seconds remaining. Pederson calls the Eagles’ final timeout to ice Parkey. Parkey’s kick is in the air ... it hits the upright ... it hits the cross bar ... and it’s NO GOOD! EAGLES WIN, BABY!!!

Eagles 10th drive: Eagles take over at their own 40-yard line after a bad Bears punt. Foles throws over the middle to Jeffery for a first down. Foles gets pressured on a blitz and throws incomplete. Eagles run a screen to Goedert, who does a get job of breaking tackles for a first down. He’s good, folks. Foles fires over the middle to Ertz for another first. Eagles in the red zone now. Smallwood runs for one yard and the Eagles take the clock down to the 2-minute warning. Buckle up for this finish! Foles throws to Agholor but the ball goes through his hands, incomplete. That brings up 3nd-and-9. Foles throws to Jeffery to bring up 1st-and-goal. Clutch conversion. Khalil Mack tackles Sproles for no gain and the Bears call their first timeout with 1:10 left in the game. Eagles run with Sproles again and the Bears take their second timeout with 1:05 remaining. Doug Pederson really trying to make Chicago burn their timeouts. Still gotta get a touchdown too, though. On 3rd-and-goal, Kyle Fuller breaks up Foles’ pass for Jeffery. Just a great defensive play. That brings up 4th-and-goal. Here’s the game. Foles rolls out ... and throws to Tate for a TOUCHDOWN!!! Aaaaaaah!!! Eagles go for the two-point conversion ... and it’s a FAKE PHILLY SPECIAL with Smallwood taking the ball and diving for the end zone. It’s ruled a fumble and reviewed. Call on the field stands, no conversion. Darn. Eagles lead, 16 to 15.
Bears 10th drive: Eagles come up with a tackle for loss on first down and a Michael Bennett sack on second down. On 3rd-and-19, Trubisky dumps off to Cohen, who runs out of bounds. Yet another big stop by Jim Schwartz’s defense. Bears punt.
Eagles 9th drive: Foles gets hit as he throws and is fortunate to have his pass fall to the ground instead of getting picked. Foles’ second down pass is broken up. Foles gets time on third down and fires to Agholor over the middle for a first down. Agholor is banged up after taking a big hit in the back. Sproles is tackled for no gain by Akiem Hicks. Foles rolls airs it out and throws it down the field to Tate but the ball is short and Tate is double covered anyway. On 3rd-and-8, Foles has time but throws WAY too high and outside of an ope Goedert. Bad miss there.
Bears 9th drive: Jordan Hicks comes up with a tackle for loss. Trubisky throws an off target pass to bring up 3rd-and-11. On third down, Trubisky fires a pass to Gabriel for a first down. Dang. Really could’ve ussd a stop there. Trubisky pumps and then fires for a chunk gain to Josh Bellamy. The Bears receiver got behind Maddox and LeBlanc. Trubisky fires to an open Robinson, this time in the end zone. Maddox got lost on a double move and also committed DPI. Bears clearly going after the suddenly struggling rookie corner. Chicago attempts a two-point conversion to make it a seven-point game ... but the shovel pass to Gabriel is no good. Five-point game. Bears lead, 15 to 10.
Eagles 8th drive: Eagles could use a strong drive here. Foles throws to Jeffery on a screen for a 1-yard gain. Smallwood makes a cut to bring up 3rd-and-3. The third down handoff from Sproles to Foles is bobbled and Sproles is tackled short of the maker. Was that a pass checked into a run?
Bears 8th drive (continued): On 3rd-and-9 from the 20-yard line, Trubisky runs but it’s not enough for a first. Parkey comes out for the 34-yard field goal attempt and it’s good. One point game. Eagles lead, 10 to 9.
THIRD QUARTER

Bears 8th drive: Bears take over at their own 22-yard line. Trubisky throws for a first down just beyond the marker. Then he airs it out to a wide open Robinson for a big gain. Maddox got too aggressive and bit the cheese on the double move there.
Eagles 7th drive: Eagles pick up a first down on a catch-and-run by Ertz. Then Sproles rushes for a first. Foles throws a jump ball to Jeffery but the receiver fails to bring it in as he’s tightly covered. On 3rd-and-8, Foles has time but throws high on a pass meant for a tightly covered Tate short of the sticks. Incomplete. Punt.
Bears 7th drive: On 3rd-and-9, Trubisky throws short of the sticks and makes a big open field tackle on Adam Shaheen. CRUCIAL stop. Bears have to punt.

Eagles 6th drive: Eagles get to 3rd-and-6 and Foles throws a wobbly ball to Ertz and it’s incomplete. But Adrian Amos clearly goes helmet-to-helmet to Ertz and it’s a 15-yard penalty, first down. Eagles get to 3rd-and-5 and Foles throw to a wide open Tate along the sideline for a first down. Bears gets called for 12 players on the field to give the Eagles five yards. Sproles runs for three yards. Foles airs it out on 2nd-and-2 and Prince Amukamara is called for pass interference on Jordan Matthews. Big play that puts the Eagles at the 10-yard line in the red zone! Then Foles find an open Dallas Goedert in the end zone for a touchdown! Easy. Eagles lead, 10 to 6.
Bears 6th drive: Bears get the ball to start the second half. Deiondre’ Hall makes a nice special teams tackle against his former team. Cox blows up a Bears running attempt up the middle for a loss. Bears break out some trickery on a jet sweep to pick up a first down. Bears run a shovel pass but Bradham sniffs it out for no gain. Bradham misses a tackle on Robinson to bring the Bears to 3rd-and-1 around midfield. Howard powers forward for the first down. Jernigan and Brandon Graham combine to sack Trubisky. Good to see pressure finally get home. Bears get into 3rd-and-6, Trubisky is forced into throwing the ball away. Another good stop by the defense.
SECOND QUARTER
Bears 5th drive: Bears start at their own 11-yard line. Chicago drives to midfield. Tre Sullivan breaks up a pass to bring up third down. On 3rd-and-3, the Bears run and Howard is stopped short of the marker. An illegal use of the hands to the face penalty by Bradham gives the Bears an automatic first down, however. Too many dumb penalties at key moments in this first half. Trubisky throws down the field to Anthony Miller and LeBlanc breaks it up. Incredible PBU. But the play is reviewed ... and it’s ruled incomplete. Wow. It could’ve been ruled a catch and a fumble and ... with no clear recovery ... it would’ve been Bears’ ball in the red zone. But the Eagles didn’t go after the ball because the refs blew it dead. What a weird play. Back to the game: Trubisky throws into the end zone and Sullivan has it in his hands for an easy pick ... dropped. UGH. Ball almost went into Miller’s hands for a touchdown, too. NEED to make those plays in this game. Bears run for a first down to set up a short Parkey field goal as the first half expires. Bears lead, 6 to 3.
Eagles 5th drive: On 2rd-and-12, Foles throws too far in front ahead of Sproles. Incomplete. On 3rd-and-12, Foles throws #ShortOfTheSticks to Tate. Three-and-out.
Bears 4th drive: Maddox comes up with a real impressive pick along the sideline ... but it’s ruled incomplete. Ugh. Would’ve been an interception if he didn’t bobble it. The rookie is still clearly talented. Trubisky’s third down pass is deep and ... incomplete as he leads Robinson out of bounds. Bears have to punt.
Eagles 4th drive: Smallwood picks up 10 yards on a run. Then he’s tackled for no gain. Foles fires to a sliding Agholor ahead of the marker for a first. Sproles takes a carry for five yards. Then another for a 1-yard loss. On 3rd-and-6, Foles has plenty of time and he floats a pass down the field to Golden Tate, who makes a TOUGH contested catch for a first down despite taking a big hit on a bang-bang play. Hospital ball. Tate is hurt, and so is the Bears’ backup nickel cornerback. Chicago down their top two slot corners. Foles throws into, like, quadruple coverage and is picked off in the end zone. Just a terrible decision there. Never had a shot.
Bears 3rd drive: Trubisky throws short of the sticks and Cre’Von LeBlanc makes a tackle but Michael Bennett is called for a 15-yard penalty after shoving Kyle Long twice in the face after the play. Dumb penalty by a veteran player who should know better. Bears pick up a chunk gain with Trubisky completing a pass to Tarik Cohen. That little guy is dangerous. Trubisky runs out of bounds on third down to bring out Cody Parkey for a 36-yard field goal attempt. The former Eagles kicker makes it to tie the game. Trubisky seen limping after that run. Chase Daniel coming in at some point in this game?! Even if Trubisky stays in that, that could limit his mobility. Tie game, 3 to 3.
Look like Foles had Dallas Goedert matched up against a LB with a step on a deep route. Threw short to Smallwood. INT. #Eagles

Eagles 3rd drive (continued): Personnel usage update: 15 of the 17 Eagles’ first quarter players were with 11 personnel (three wide receivers, one tight end). Interesting. Bears bring pressure on first play of the second quarter but Foles floats it up to a WIDE OPEN Jeffery for a chunk gain. Foles targets Smallwood on a checkdown but Roquan Smith makes an incredible play to pick it off. Smallwood couldn’t hold on. Ugh.
FIRST QUARTER
Eagles 3rd drive: Eagles start at their own 7-yard line with Sproles deciding not to fair catch a punt for some reason and instead letting it bounce. Punt return unit off to a bad start. Eagles get to 3rd-and-9 ... and it’s draw to Sproles, who bursts through the line for a first down! Good block from Seumalo on that run, that’s why he’s starting. Also a VERY favorable spot from the refs. On 2nd-and-11, Foles hits Jeffery along the sideline for a first down. Just another display of Jeffery’s strong hands. That’s the end of the first quarter.
Bears 2nd drive: Bears start at the Eagles’ 48-yard line. Bradham forces an incompletion with a big hit. Howard picks up six to bring up 3rd-and-4. Bradham knocks down Trubisky’s third down pass to force a punt. Big game by Nigel so far. Matt Nagy doing the Eagles favors by punting from Philly’s own 42-yard line.
Eagles 2nd drive: Smallwood gets contacted in the end zone (YIKES) but breaks through for a 4-yard gain. Too close for comfort there. Foles’ second down pass is broken up. On 3rd-and-6, Foles throws a screen to Sproles, who is immediately tackled by Danny Trevathan. Punt.
Bears 1st drive: Mitchell Trubisky connects with Taylor Gabriel to give the Bears their first first down of the game. Tim Jernigan and a bunch of Eagles defenders jump into the backfield to bring up 3rd-and-5. Trubisky goes to Allen Robinson for a first down. Nigel Bradham tackles Jordan Howard at the line of scrimmage. Doing a good job against the run so far. Fletcher Cox forces Trubisky to run for his life and throw an incompletion. Cox looking like a total beast early on. Avonte Maddox breaks up Trubisky’s third down pass. Really dangerous throw from the Bears QB. Bears punt and it’s a touchback ... but there’s an offside penalty on the Eagles. The Bears punt again and the ball goes out of bounds at the 1-yard line, because of course it does.
Eagles 1st drive: Isaac Seumalo officially gets the start at left guard. The first play is a Wendell Smallwood run for a 2-yard gain. Jason Kelce make a huge block on a screen reception to set up Smallwood for a 22-yard gain. Eagles go no huddle and Foles hits Zach Ertz over the middle for a first down. Foles’ throw to a tightly covered Nelson Agholor is incomplete. The Eagles run Josh Adams for two yards. On 3rd-and-8, Foles gets plenty of time to deliver a pass over the middle to Alshon Jeffery for another first down. Jeffery gets booed and starts to egg on the fans. Love it. Foles in rhythm early on. Foles gets sacked on 3rd-and-7 to bring up a 43-yard field goal attempt by Jake Elliott. He drills it. Not a terrible start against a tough defense. Eagles lead, 3 to 0.
Coin toss: Bears win the coin toss and elect to defer. BDN up first.

GAME INFORMATION
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to kick off their 2019 NFL playoff schedule with a road game against the Chicago Bears. The path to repeating as Super Bowl champions begins here.
For the second year in a row, the Eagles are UNDERDOGS in their first playoff game. Many don’t think the Eagles stand much of a chance in this one; Philly was voted as the team with the worst chance to win on Wild Card weekend.
We’ll soon see if people are making the same mistake of counting this team out. It certainly feels like that could be the case given how the Eagles ended the 2018 regular season playing some real good football.
The Bears figure to be a tough challenge for Philadelphia. Chicago only lost one game at Soldier Field all season long. And that matchup was one yard away on the final play from being sent into overtime.
The Eagles will need a complete effort by the whole team once again. Nick Foles and the trenches must be especially strong. Doug Pederson needs to come up with a game plan that gives the Eagles a chance to score against Vic Fangio’s No. 1 ranked defense.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch this one.
