Though this, as always, is subject to change
Though there are plenty of things that can change between now and September, an early look at the strength of schedule for the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 shows a potentially rough road.
According to CBS Sports, the Vikings have the 10th toughest schedule in the league next season. They also have seven games against teams that made the playoffs in 2019, and their opponents in 2019 posted an overall winning percentage of .512 in 2018.
In addition to their home-and-home against the Chicago Bears, the Vikings also have road contests against both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. Those team each won 12 games this past season, best in the AFC, and figure to be in the mix in the AFC again this season as well.
The other playoff teams the Vikings will see in 2018 are the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Seattle Seahawks.
Again, there’s quite a bit that can change over the next few months that could cause teams to rise and fall before the start of the 2019 season. However, at first glance, if the Vikings want to get back into the postseason in 2019, they’re going to have a pretty difficult road ahead of them.
