It’s a defensive dogfight. Who makes the changes in the 2nd half to win the game?
Los Angeles Rams 0, New England Patriots 3.
JUST LIKE WE ALL PREDICTED.
Look, it was ugly. The defenses rattled both quarterbacks leading to some really ugly offensive play. Both teams’ run defenses were fantastic. The only real difference? Patriots WR Julian Edelman found some space to work through at the second level. But with everything else cluttered up, the Rams got plenty of stops defensively and deserve credit.
Offensively? Yeah, no. The line hasn’t been great. QB Jared Goff looks entirely out of sync. And RB Todd Gurley’s injury has limited both his production and his availability.
And so it is. We’re in a defensive battle. It’s halftime. We have to make adjustments. And the good thing is that we’ve been fantastic at halftime adjustments all year with Head Coach Sean McVay and Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips overseeing things.
So buckle up. This is what it’s all about.
It was never going to be easy.
It might just end up being perfect.
