Could a national champion be coming to Cleveland?
Todd McShay of ESPN released his second mock draft of the year this past Thursday. To compare, here is who he had the Cleveland Browns taking in his first mock draft:
McShay 1.0: DT Ed Oliver
We are seeing a constant from mock drafters so far with the Browns, attacking the defensive tackle spot. With that 17th overall pick, McShay still sees the Browns going in that direction, albeit a different player now:
No. 17: Cleveland Browns - DT Christian Wilkins, Clemson - “Sure, the Browns have some other areas of need, but this value is too good to pass up, especially with Trevon Coley and Carl Davis headed toward free agency. Wilkins is one of the top 10-12 players in the draft class. He is scheme-versatile, and Cleveland would love his high awareness and motor in the middle of that defensive line.”
CBS Sports’ Will Brinson offered a contrast with the Browns taking a right tackle in his latest mock draft. Would you be happy if the Browns selected Wilkins? Here is McShay’s Top 10:
