The special teams ace isn’t going anywhere
From Raheem Mostert’s agent, Brett Tessler:
Despite strong interest elsewhere, restricted free agent RB Raheem Mostert just agreed to a three-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers... Wanted to continue building on what he started there. Thanks to John Lynch, Kyle Shanahan, and Paraag Marathe for the opportunity!
Mostert is a speedy guy that is an excellent special-teamer. One of the best in the game. That is the fourth commitment to a running back this year. They all have one thing in common: They are fast.

Think Kyle Shanahan likes big plays?
Mostert ran sub 4.4 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, too. He’s most famously remembered for covering a punt against the Texans where he was fined for a textbook tackle. Remember this?
So here's a play that my 49ers client Raheem Mostert got an unnecessary roughness penalty on last night for leading with his head... Is this really the way we want to affect the outcome of games this season? pic.twitter.com/lotRzIxiue

That’s beautiful. It’s a good move to extend the special teams ace. He’s a big part of what the 49ers do in that phase of the game. We’ll keep an eye out for the contract details and get everything updated.
