Could Cleveland be drafting an Ohio State product for the second year in a row?
The Cleveland Browns might not have a first-round pick any more, but that won’t stop them from scouting some talent that could slip to the second round. According to Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors, the Browns are among some of the teams that have visited to Berea lined up with Ohio State DL Dre’Mont Jones.
Ohio State defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones said he has visits planned with the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns.

Running back Mike Weber said he has visits planned with the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears.
Jones is a lifelong Browns fan who went to St. Ignatius High School. There was a time when one might think that the Browns never draft local products very high. That changed a year ago with the selection of CB Denzel Ward, and Jones could very well follow in his footsteps for 2019.
It’s not clear if the Browns will bring Jones in for a special visit to count toward their 30-man limit, or if he will be one of the players invited on “local prospect day,” where local products (even the top-tier ones) do not count toward that limit. Cleveland’s staff was paying close attention to Jones at Ohio State’s Pro Day:
