The new league year is set to begin this week. The period of “legal tampering” begins today when teams and players are allowed to start discussing contracts. With the cap space the Jets will have, you can expect plenty of activity.
But in many ways the new year began for the Jets over the weekend when news broke that the Jets acquired former Pro Bowl guard Kelechi Osemele. The Jets sent a fifth round pick to the Raiders and received a sixth round pick back to facilitate the deal. The team has a clear need to upgrade its offensive line, and this was the first step. Breaking down the trade is the main topic on today’s podcast episode.
In other news of less importance, the Jets re-signed backup center Jonnothan Harrison over the weekend and had a free agent visit with cornerback Kevin Johnson. We will also discuss these topics.
Thanks for listening.
