Strahan/Banks highlights the regional semis
To celebrate March Madness — and occupy ourselves with the NFL Draft still weeks away — the Big Blue View staff has selected and seeded the top 64 players in Giants history.
They will continue to face off tournament-style with you picking the winners, culminating in the Giant you choose as the greatest of all-time.
Michael Strahan set the single-season record for sacks in 2001 with 22.5.
Carl Banks played one of the greatest games a linebacker ever had in Super Bowl XXI: 14 tackles, including 10 solo stops and four tackles for loss in the 39-20 victory over Denver.
They will meet in the Sweet 16 round of The Owen Region. The 1986 and 1990 Super Bowl hero vs. the 2007 Super Bowl hero.
Second-seeded Sam Huff will meet third-seeded Tiki Barber in the other matchup.
Voting for the regional semifinals ends Saturday night.
