Raiders still not done, add LB Brandon Marshall on one-year deal

The first wave of free agency is long since behind us. But the Raiders were far from done when they added a few high priced players on long term deals.

Lately they’ve been filling in the gaps with some quality veterans. Minutes after officially adding running back Isaiah Crowell, they added their second veteran linebacker in a week, signing former Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall on a 1-year deal according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Both Crowell and Marshall were known to be visiting the team today and at this stage, that usually means most other details have been discussed and worked out. It probably helps that their agent is Drew Rosenhaus who the Raiders also worked with in the trade for Antonio Brown and making Trent Brown the highest paid offensive lineman in football.

The 29-year-old Marshall is entering his 8th NFL season, having started 64 games for the Broncos over the past five years, including for their 2015 Super Bowl team. He will join recently signed Vontaze Burfict and 2018 free agent addition Tahir Whitehead in the Raiders linebacking corps.
