Allen has 5th best odds for DROY

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t really had a player in the running for rookie of the year since Jalen Ramsey was a rookie a few years ago, however I think with seventh overall pick Josh Allen, the Jaguars have a good shot at having one. Ramsey was edged out by pass rusher Joey Bosa and once again the Jaguars defensive rookie could be going head to head with another Bosa for the honors.

Currently, Allen has the fifth best odds for the award.

Nick Bosa, Quinnen Williams, Ed Oliver, Devin Bush, Devin White and Clelin Ferrell were all given better odds than Allen, but in reality I think Allen could be right up there because of the situation he’s in.

Bosa is heading to a team where he’s going to team with Dee Ford as the primary edge guy, so like Allen he’s going to good defensive line and should get many one-on-one chances to get to the quarterback and be disruptive.

I love Quinnen Williams, but I have a hard time seeing him end up with the award. The best bet are probably the two linebackers, Bush and White, since it’s a position that’s easy to notice and see on every single play and that’s important for these kinds of awards.
