The next time we see San Francisco 49ers rookie No. 2 pick Nick Bosa on the field, it will likely be for Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bosa left Wednesday’s training camp practice after limping off the field with what appeared to be a lower-body injury. Immediately afterwards, it was noted that Bosa would undergo an MRI. On to the good news. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Bosa was diagnosed with an ankle sprain. While this is not a long-term injury, it will likely keep him out of preseason action. The Ohio State product had been dominant thus far during training camp. Though, he also suffered a hamstring injury during the offseason program. It’s clear that injuries are now a concern relating to Bosa. He missed the vast majority of last season with the Buckeyes due to a core muscle injury. The hope here is that Bosa will be 100 percent and ready to go for Week 1.
