Sunday Night Football, Week 5. Tonight the Indianapolis Colts travel south to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Indianapolis is 7-4 all-time in Kansas City, winning five of its last six games in Arrowhead Stadium. The Colts are 12-9 all-time against the Chiefs; only the Steelers, at 22-11, have a better record against the Chiefs among AFC teams.
The Chiefs, led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, have started the season 4-0 for the third consecutive season. They are the sixth team to do this in the Super Bowl Era. Four of the previous five won a Super Bowl within the three year span.
The Colts are locked in a four way tie for first (and last) place in the AFC South. They need this game to stay atop the divisional standings. The Chiefs already have a two game lead in the AFC West, with only the Los Angeles Chargers looking like they present any kind of threat in the division.
It’s the Colts and the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
Enjoy the game everybody.
