The Panthers are a steady three point favorite over the Jaguars

A slew of injury announcements hasn’t impacted the game line a bit.

I thought there would be some narrowing of the three point spread between the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars this week but it has remained steady. From TopBet.eu

I know the common wisdom is the Jaguars have a tough pass defense and therefore the Kyle Allen will have a tough time scoring through the air. The truth is the Jacksonville pass defense is very venerable at the moment. Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey will not play which is a huge loss but good news for Curtis Samuel. The simulations favor the Panthers by five and half points which bodes well with a three point spread. I also agree the over/under of 40 points is low. Both of the rookie quarterbacks in the game, Allen and Gardner Minshew, have shown they can put points on the board. Both of these defenses are missing key personnel.

I think a key factor will be the Panthers defense being able to force mistakes from the rookie quarterback just as they did Kyler Murray. I can see something like a 30-23 Panthers victory.
