Rodney Hudson and Trent Brown selected to 2020 Pro Bowl

NFL: Pro Bowl-AFC Practice Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Rodney Hudson and Trent Brown were both named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday night, while Richie Incognito, Alec Ingold, Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller were all named as alternates.

Hudson and Brown have led a Raiders offensive line that has been top five in the NFL in a laundry list of categories this season. Hudson has been perennially underrated across the NFL despite now receiving his third Pro Bowl nod.

Brown has been dominant for the Raiders as a pass protector all season, and although he’s struggled with injuries, he did enough to earn the first Pro Bowl nod of his career.

It seems that Jacobs and Waller were both snubbed from the list, but it’s also tough to argue against the players who made the AFC roster.

At running back, the Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, and Mark Ingram were selected, while Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews made it over Waller at tight end. Putting Andrews over Waller is the most suspect choice regarding Raiders snubs, but Andrews has been a force on the best team in football thus far, giving him a compelling case when coupled with his stats.

The fact that Ingold was named as an alternate as an undrafted rookie should make him proud. He will carve out a long career in the NFL and has been a stud for Oakland this year. Conversely, Incognito earning an alternate nomination is a great comeback story considering that his NFL career was seemingly over prior to this season due to his advanced age and off-field issues.

Ingold and Incognito were both 13 years and 4 days apart, which is pretty wild considering they’ve both been key contributors on the same offense this year.
