How many wins are we getting in 2020?

The 2020 NFL regular season schedule is out and the Jacksonville Jaguars will have their work cut out for them, especially in the middle of the schedule.

Without further ado, let’s go week by week and make some win-loss predictions!

Week 1 vs. Indianapolis Colts (1-0) - Win

That’s right, folks. I think we beat the Colts because we have two things in our favor — we’re at home and it’s the first week of the season. Add in the fact that the Colts haven’t beaten the Jaguars in Jacksonville since 2014, I think things look good for an opening season win.

Week 2 at Tennessee Titans (1-1) - Loss

Until we can beat the Titans, we can’t. Derrick Henry is an absolute beast and Ryan Tannehill had our number last year.

Week 3 vs. Miami Dolphins (2-1) - Win

Thursday Night Football! When will Tua Tagovailoa be the starter in Miami? I want as much FITZMAGIC as Ryan Fitzpatrick is willing to give us, but I think on a short week the better roster wins... and that’s Jacksonville.

Week 4 at Cincinnati Bengals (3-1) - Win

I’m four weeks and I sound like such a homer. Listen... Joe Burrow is the real deal but he will struggle in the first half of his rookie season. Go take care of business, Gardner.

Week 5 at Houston Texans (3-2) - Loss

Here’s where the fun stops. Luckily the bye week is in two weeks or else this could be the start of a slide. I think the Jaguars go to the Texans and get mopped. Deshaun Watson is the best quarterback in the AFC South and top-3 in the AFC.

Week 6 vs. Detroit Lions (3-3) - Loss

I think this is one of the most important games of the season. It sets a precedent and establishes a feel in that locker room — will they bounce back or claw their way to a victory over a team that should beat them at home? I think they lose this one.

Week 7 vs. Bye Week (3-3)

Please do not lose against the bye week. Please, Jacksonville. PLEASE.

Week 8 at Los Angeles Chargers (3-4) - Loss

Until the Jaguars can win in a cross-country trip against the Chargers, they can’t. I don’t care that their quarterback is Justin Herbert. I don’t care that they broke their West Coast curse against the (now) Las Vegas Raiders. The shadow of Gus Bradley looms over all.

Week 9 vs. Houston Texans (3-5) - Loss

Like Detroit, this is another important game. If they can win this they can build a playoff run. But... well... umm...

Week 10 at Green Bay Packers (3-6) - Loss

Yeah.

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-6) - Win

Why not? No matter who is on the team, the Jaguars seem to always get up for a game against the Steelers. This is the one they should lose but win.

Week 12 vs. Cleveland Browns (5-6) - Win

Am I predicting back-to-back wins late in the seasons? Dear reader, I most certainly AM.

Week 13 at Minnesota Vikings (5-7) - Loss

Minnesota will be mounting a playoff run of their own and a late-season game on the road in Minneapolis does not look promising for a very young offense.

Week 14 vs. Tennessee Titans (5-8) - Loss

The wheels have officially come off.

Week 15 at Baltimore Ravens (5-9) - Loss

I will be betting my mortgage on the Jaguars not covering the spread, which will be at least two touchdowns by this point.

Week 16 vs. Chicago Bears (6-9) - Win

Nice. Also, if Nick Foles is still healthy I have to imagine this defense will absolutely smell blood in the water. And if Mitch Trubisky is playing, my God.

Week 17 at Indianapolis Colts (6-10) - Loss

I think the Colts are the odds on favorite to win the AFC South and they’ll be playing like it in the season finale. We go out with a loss and a big question at quarterback. It is the (Jaguars) way.
