Good morning, GGN! Ordinarily this would be the time of year for rookie minicamps. We’d get our first reports as to how the incoming class of rookies were doing. Ordinarily that wouldn’t mean much, and rookie minicamps would pass by without much fanfare. This year, however, with the entire American world of sports on indefinite hiatus, a rookie minicamp almost sounds exciting. Without a traditional offseason to help make the difficult transition from college to the pros, this year’s rookie class may struggle more than usual for the Jets and every other NFL team. Rookies outside of the first round rarely make a large impact under the best of circumstances. In the current situation, it’s probably wise to discount the prospects of the rookie class adding much juice to the Jets’ 2020 season.
