Weekend Open Thread
Good Morning!
This weekend is an anniversary of important dates; none more important to me as Gone Fishin’s daughter would have turned eight on Sunday. Keep Fishin and his family in your thoughts this weekend; if you’re new and aren’t sure what I’m talking about let me know and I’ll explain. I was stunned yesterday by the announcement via Twitter from the league; maybe we’ll see some actual change now that one of the larger corporations is (finally) getting onboard. Anyway, I digress. I’m going to smoke a brisket Sunday for dinner if Costco has any, lately they’ve been a little slim with the brisket pickings. If you have questions about smoking a brisket let me know in the comments and I’ll drop you an answer. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and it’s weekend eve, you should get all your outdoor chores done early, have a beer or two and have a great but safe weekend.
