NFL.com plays “Better or Worse” with NFC North teams

What do they think about the Vikings?

As long as we’re looking at videos and things, let’s take a look at one that the Minnesota Vikings shared on their official website the other day.

Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah from NFL.com take a look at all four teams in the NFC North and predict whether they will be better or worse in 2020 than they were in 2019. What did they have to say about the purple?

Yes, despite the losses they’ve sustained this offseason, both Jeremiah and Brooks believe the Vikings will be a better football team this season than they were last year. The big reason that Jeremiah cites for believing that is the fact that Gary Kubiak has moved into the offensive coordinator’s seat in place of Kevin Stefanski, who is now the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

Jeremiah even goes so far as to say that, with Kubiak calling plays for the offense now, running back Dalvin Cook is going to be among the frontrunners for the MVP award in the National Football League. That’s some pretty high praise.

Brooks only adds a couple of sentences to the Vikings’ portion of the video, but he says that he expects a big year not just from Cook, but from Kirk Cousins as well.

For the first time in a long time, the offense is going to have to carry the day for a Mike Zimmer-led football team, at least until we see how the new additions on defense perform in the place of some long-time veterans that have moved on. Brooks and Jeremiah both seem to think that’s precisely what will happen.

If you want to check out the rest of the video, it’s the one that’s a little farther down on the page linked above. Of the three other NFC North teams, they pick one to get better and two to get worse. You’ll never guess which team is which.
