Statement from Dan Snyder in response to the allegations in today’s Washington Post: pic.twitter.com/vuvfUAO4q0

The @NFL & @nflcommish via @NFLprguy fire off a strong statement in many ways and why everything Dan Snyder said after the first two paragraphs of his statement was not the right way to go about this:https://t.co/wEOmhPAD82@WSHFootballSI @SInow @theMMQB #NFL #WFT #WFT1932 pic.twitter.com/dTcgqP6WHk

This is in contrast to the league's response to allegations against former Panthers owner Jerry Richardson in 2018. The league hired former U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White to lead the investigation, as opposed to letting Carolina hire an investigator itself.

"An independent investigation into these issues is in process..."
— Chris Lingebach (@ChrisLingebach) August 26, 2020
Goodell's statement doesn't appear to hold up to scrutiny. How "independent" can an investigation, conducted by an attorney hired by Snyder, truly be?https://t.co/lAh0ieHYIR
As Dan Snyder digs in his heels, it's up to the other owners to hold him responsible: https://t.co/QmK1mQ41i2

I need @NFL players, coaches & owners to have the same energy for Snyder that the NBA had for Donald Sterling.

Sexism & racism often intersects. If you can dehumanize a person for their skin color it’s not hard to dehumanize someone for their gender. https://t.co/yVu0lHjUxy
While Dan Snyder said in a statement he plans to be more involved, the main thing I've heard from many people with Rivera/Wright in charge is: Snyder needs to step back, let them do their jobs and not wear them out. Hire good people; trust them; fewer issues follow.

Feels like we’re entering Al Davis territory.
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) August 26, 2020
By the way, he got to keep the team.
Why not just use his new Twitter account to respond. https://t.co/7lQ9DgLYnW

It's been about 36 hours or so since I clicked to "FOLLOW" Dan Snyder's new account. At that time he had 4 followers. He still has 4 followers and my request is still pending. I mean... what's the point of opening a Twitter account and keeping it secret between you & 4 pals? pic.twitter.com/M9gEhLJt19

Team President Jason Wright strikes a different tone from his boss. https://t.co/ymy0SBEsLC
— Bill-in-Bangkok (@billhorgan2005) August 27, 2020
Similar to football, I find that in big business moments my focus returns to fundamentals. As a RB it was “line up at the right depth, take proper steps...” Now it’s “stay fact based, set clear direction and standards, lead with empathy, release the uncontrollable...”
— Jason Wright (@whoisjwright) August 16, 2020
The obvious first thing to notice here:
— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) August 27, 2020
There was a team statement and there was an owner statement. They were different. https://t.co/1JrvyNNQ8A
This feels like another big shift in what’s been an offseason of big shifts for the Washington football franchise https://t.co/EWtR3BVwPM

This is Wright's 3rd day on the job as team president. https://t.co/epggBWtjtX

This statement from the team is posted on the Football Team's Twitter account. The statement from owner Dan Snyder is not. https://t.co/39xSfnTzhx

Possible reunion in Seattle between the #Seahawks and WR Paul Richardson. Sources say the team’s former second-round pick is at the facility today for COVID-19 testing. He’ll go through protocol and could sign later this week.

The NFL regular season starts in 16 days and it does not feel like it AT ALL.
— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) August 26, 2020
I never appreciated how much hype meaningless preseason games can generate I guess. https://t.co/S6h6mKAhl7
This seems...ill-advised? https://t.co/wfe8agAptH

Officially, the league hasn't finalized plans for artificial noise at games without fans; unofficially, the league is considering the use of 70 to 85 decibels, which would remain constant throughout the game https://t.co/Ch1sdZmhU3
