Your Monday open thread is up and running
Merry Monday, everyone!
Technical difficulties tried to prevent me from posting the thread. My stupid network wasn’t working again. Stupid computer said it was connected but I had no internet. Well, that makes no sense, because to me, connected = internet. Apparently, that’s incorrect, so I hit a few buttons, and cussed at my machine for a while (loudly), and with my technical prowess (I literally have less than zero technical prowess, which isn’t possible, but it’s true in this case), I was able to get my connection working. I had a hammer and crowbar ready in case the cussing didn’t work, but it wasn’t necessary, unfortunately. Anyway, here we are. My weekend: I got the boat trailer sanded and primed, I’ll have pictures to share in the comments.
So, I understand that the daily thread congregation has decided to........... move to a different facility, and with the situation here, and the renovations as they are, we understand your decision. We have some news to share from the elders (they’re actually probably younger than Rob and I, but most people are), and it looks like they were able to make some swift and decisive alterations to the renovation schedule that will make this facility much more.....inhabitable, very soon. Honestly, Rob and I (Rob has done more than I have, but I’m getting more time to do my share as well) have b***tched like crazy in order to un-do some of the changest that were made, and we’ll continue to do so, because we want this place to be the place it’s always been. We’ll share more about the upcoming changes and when they’ll happen, but rest assured, this place will be back to abnormal VERY soon. We hope to see the pews full of....pew.....again......
