Good morning, GGN! The Jets have gotten some positive news for a change. Backup quarterback Joe Flacco visited his neck surgeon for a post operative evaluation, and things look good for the former Ravens quarterback to return to action as early as mid-September. While we certainly hope there will be no need for a backup quarterback to ever take the field this year, if Sam Darnold were to be unable to play for any reason, Joe Flacco is the only other quarterback on the roster that has meaningful NFL experience. It is a very positive development that the only viable backup quarterback on the roster is likely to be available sooner rather than later in September.
