Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Jets have had their third player opt out of the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as newly acquired WR Josh Doctson has decided to sit out this year. Doctson didn’t seem poised to be anything more than a depth piece at WR and perhaps a contributor on Special Teams; so while his opt-out may affect the team’s depth, it wouldn’t do much more than that. The deadline to opt out for the season ended yesterday, so expect all players left on the team to try and fight their way onto a roster spot going forward - unless one should come down with the illness. Seeing other leagues continuing their play has been a positive thing to see, and one can only hope that the NFL has somewhat learned from these other league’s mistakes and does something proactive going forward.
