Good news for Philadelphia’s secondary.

It doesn’t often feel like the Philadelphia Eagles receive good news on the injury front but that’s actually the case here for a change. Will Parks received medical clearance to play in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to a report from NFL Network’s James Palmer.

The Eagles activated Parks’ 21-day practice window earlier this week. They’ll officially add him back to the 53-man at some point before 4:00 PM Eastern on Saturday.

Parks returning figures to be good news for the Eagles’ secondary. With Jalen Mills potentially starting at cornerback again, Parks can take over as a starting safety. He’ll likely be an upgrade over Marcus Epps, who might be too injured to play this week anyway. Even if Mills returns to playing safety, Parks projects to have a significant role in the Eagles’ defense.

The Eagles signed Parks, a Philly native, to a one-year contract shortly after free agency started in March. The 26-year-old has an opportunity to prove he’s a long-term piece by playing well this season.

It’ll be interesting to get our first look at Parks this Sunday.
