No practice took place, but we do have an estimation on who would’ve participated.
If you haven’t heard, the Atlanta Falcons had another COVID-19 scare at Flowery Branch. On Thursday morning, the team confirmed one positive case and decided to suspend in-person activities, moving to virtual work. The Falcons recently placed rookie defensive tackle on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and it’s unclear if the new case is somehow connected to that.
Due to no practicing on Thursday, the team instead provided a report on who would and wouldn’t have participated had practice taken place.
FULL PARTICIPATION
- S Ricardo Allen (elbow)
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
- S Keanu Neal (hamstring)
- DE Dante Fowler (ankle)
- TE Hayden Hurst (back)
- WR Russell Gage (shoulder)
- DT Grady Jarrett (back)
- DE Takk McKinley (groin)
- LB Foye Oluokun (knee)
NO PARTICIPATION
- WR Julio Jones (hamstring)
- S Jaylinn Hawkins (concussion)
- DT Deadrin Senat (rest)
- C Alex Mack (rest)
If you saw Wednesday’s practice report, there’s really no difference here. The only change is center Alex Mack would’ve had a rest day as we’ve seen late in the weeks this season. It seems like everyone listed is trending towards playing with the exception of Julio Jones and Jaylinn Hawkins as their health statuses are both unknown. The team is set to face the Vikings on Sunday, assuming there’s no new cases and the game is pushed to a later date, so Friday should be the final practice of the week before travel. All that we can do at this point is hope that there’s no new positive cases for the Falcons.
