The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs is reporting that Chicago Bears defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris will likely miss the remainder of the season with shoulder surgery.

He has appeared in eight games this year, with six starts, and he has 10 tackles, 5 quarterback hits, and 1 tackle for loss. He has also played in 79 special teams snaps where he has a blocked kick.

He was originally an undrafted free agent by the Bears from Texas El Paso, and during his four year career he has played in 52 games, with 13 starts, and 7.5 sacks.

Robertson-Harris was injured on November 1 in the New Orleans Saints game, but he’s expected to be ready to go by March where the soon to be 27-year old free agent will try to find a long term contract.

The Bears could promote Daniel McCullers from the practice squad to take Robertson-Harris’ place on the 53-man roster.
