The New England Patriots’ hopes of making the playoffs, let alone winning the AFC East for a 12th consecutive season, are hanging by a thread. A victory against the winless New York Jets on Monday Night Football is therefore imperative in order to snap a four-game losing streak and build some momentum heading into the second half of the season. Of course, division games tend to follow their own rules, so a win is anything but a given.
