The Ragin Cajun will get a shot.

The Saints lone transaction today involved the signing of DT Christian Ringo to their practice squad.

Christian Ringo was drafted by the Packers in the 6th round of the 2016 draft. Ringo stayed on the practice squad of the Packers during the 2015 season despite being offered a active player contract with another team. Green Bay gave him more money on his practice squad contract to stay.

Ringo made the final 53 in 2016 and signed his exclusive rights tender in 2017. The packers waived him on 9-5-17, and spent time on the Bengals, Lions, and Cowboys practice squads and active rosters. Each time he was waived after short stints.

He signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL but the 2020 season was canceled by the CFL due to Covid-19. Ringo opted out of the contract in August of 2020.

Ringo has recorded 5 tackles and forced one fumble during his NFL career.
