Dallas Cowboys defensive end Robert Quinn suffered a fractured hand at practice and is set to undergo surgery for it, the team announced on Tuesday. Quinn is entering his first season with Dallas after being acquired in a March trade with the Dolphins. A 2011 first-round pick by the Rams, Quinn’s best season came in 2013 when he had 19 sacks. He racked up 6.5 sacks and 38 tackles in 16 games last season for Miami. The Athletic’s Jon Machota says the Cowboys had been pleased with what they’d seen from Quinn in practice. Quinn, who is making $9.2 million this season, is expected to be ready to play in Week 1.
