The Dallas Cowboys got some pretty bad news once training camp practice ended on Tuesday. Recently acquired defensive end Robert Quinn left the practice field with what appeared to be a hand injury. According to NFL Media’s Jane Slater, further tests revealed that the two-time Pro Bowler suffered a fractured hand. Quinn will undergo surgery and will miss substantial action. This is a pretty massive blow for Dallas as it looks for pass-rush help behind injured Pro Bowler DeMarcus Lawrence. Quinn, 29, was acquired from the Miami Dolphins in an offseason trade. He has recorded 69 sacks in eight NFL seasons. He tallied 6.5 sacks in his first and only season with the Dolphins.
