Washington is signing vet WR Dontrelle Inman, @PostSports can confirm.
— Sam Fortier (@Sam4TR) August 3, 2020
This gives WFT much-needed WR depth and experience w Kelvin Harmon out (ACL) and Cody Latimer uncertain (Exempt List).
Inman has more career games (65) than every other WR on the active roster combined (59).
Dontrelle Inman:

Only WR on the team, other than McLaurin, to have a season with receiving grade above 70 https://t.co/KtOFaWAJUo
I talked to LB Josh Harvey-Clemons. Told me his decision to opt out is because he and both his sons have asthma. In short he said, “I have to take this serious.”

Veteran TE Jordan Reed has signed a one-year deal with the #49ers. He has a concerning injury history that includes many concussions but also has high upside when healthy.
— Inside Injuries (@InsideInjuries) August 3, 2020
Jordan Reed reuniting with Kyle Shanahan in SF makes all the sense in the world.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) August 3, 2020
Those two guys loved working together in the past. If Reed can stay on the field, he will get plenty of 1-on-1 matchups playing in 2 TE sets with George Kittle. Petrfiying thought for a defense.
I know Jordan’s injury history and maybe he has turned down some deals but I can’t believe he’s still a free agent. He’s one of the best in the sport when healthy. That’s 1000% worth a flyer for someone. https://t.co/DOFHDaFEPF

Training Camp Press Conference - Sam Mills III https://t.co/GQLnA6giKu
— Washington Football Team (@WashingtonNFL) August 3, 2020
Sam Mills III might have the most coveted coaching gig at @WashingtonNFL - DLine!! He doesn’t see figuring out the rotation as a problem. When one has tired legs, fresh ones will be ready to go. Think about this, a pro bowler is likely to be coming off the bench. #goodproblems
— Julie Donaldson (@juliedonaldson_) August 3, 2020
I thought this answer from Sam Mills was really interesting. This new Washington coaching staff is convinced they can fix the culture. Others before have thought the same, maybe this is the group to do it. Ron Rivera is a different dude. pic.twitter.com/FBNLHoKQAb

Sam Mills on Chase Young - “The young man is determined.”
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) August 3, 2020
Says no worries about rookie mental overload with Young.
Washington's assistants have all voiced the need for "accountability." Sam Mills III mentioned it again. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio did too in an interview with @PostSports this morning: pic.twitter.com/89hMuasFeA
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) August 3, 2020
Sam Mills says that if the defense is having a good game they should play around 55-65 snaps a game. No one should be playing all of those snaps and players should be very fresh.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 3, 2020
Sam Mills III said that he'd describe coach Ron Rivera's culture as "Not a sometimes thing." It's about commitment all the time, from coaches to players on down.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 3, 2020
Sam Mills said it's easy to work for Ron Rivera; says his philosophy is "it's not always easy, but you have to do the right things."
— John Keim (@john_keim) August 3, 2020
Mills said when in Carolina, he had interviewed most of Washington's defensive linemen when coming out of the draft.
— Matthew Paras (@Matthew_Paras) August 3, 2020
Sam Mills III when asked about the formula for his Carolina Panthers' defensive lines leading the league in sacks since 2012, started with saying first they're going to stop the run, then when teams try to pass, they're going to suffocate the line.
— Rhiannon Walker (@InstantRHIplay) August 3, 2020
"You never know when you're going to need someone, so we're getting everybody ready to play." Sam Mills III on the defensive line depth. This competition is going to beneficial to the starters and the backups

Some people can be “persistent positives” who may not test negative long after they’re able to transmit the virus. This provides a temporary exemption from testing and treatment protocol; any positive test after consecutive negative tests will still be treated as a new positive.

With Enunwa gone, the Idzik 12 is officially no more -- 12 draft picks (2014), none left on the roster. No Idzik picks remaining on the roster now that Enunwa and Winters have been released. #Jets
— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) August 3, 2020
That Enunwa contract was risky when it was signed and blew up because of the injury. Wound up paying $20.25M for 1 reception for -4 yards.

Agreement has been finalized for the 4 p.m. Thursday coronavirus opt out deadline, source confirms.
— Mike Jones (@ByMikeJones) August 4, 2020
NFL players were just notified the deadline to opt out of the 2020 season is 4 p.m. Thursday — and the annual drug testing window opens Friday, per sources.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 4, 2020
Normally, NFL players are drug tested the first two weeks of training camp. This year, the window is Aug. 7-17, so a bit of a grace period.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 4, 2020
Remember: Under the updated policy on substances of abuse, players can be fined, but no longer suspended, for positive drug tests.
The NFL and NFLPA have resolved all outstanding issues on the side letter to the CBA making changes for the 2020 season, per source. Still subject to final review by the union, but the deal the sides agreed to 10 days ago is now in writing.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 4, 2020
Game on.
Meanwhile, clubs are still waiting for guidance from the league on roster moves, tryouts, salary cap, etc., with all (healthy) players already in club facilities. Nothing final until the NFLPA reviews the document and signs off. https://t.co/5KiQeCujx8
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 4, 2020
When asked about report that the opt out deadline has been set for 4 p.m. Thursday, an NFLPA source said, “we don't have their signed agreement so it's not done until our legal team goes through it again."
