Following the Seahawks’ second of two mock games on Wednesday, Pete Carroll spoke to reporters and offered updates on various players. Between Carroll’s updates for media and observations from those on hand, we learned the latest news on a number of players, approximately halfway through training camp.

Though not injury related, Chris Carson is back with the team after dealing with a death in the family over the last several weeks.

Jamal Adams, who had been seen at practice with a bandage on his hand recently, needed stitches after a strawberry-cutting accident.

Both John Ursua and Phillip Dorsett sat out Wednesday’s mock game. Dorsett had a sore foot after the first mock game on Saturday and hasn’t practiced since, while Ursua is dealing with a minor hamstring tweak, per Carroll.

Seattle’s new starter at right tackle, Brandon Shell, turned his ankle before the mock game and did not participate.

As expected, Poona Ford was back in uniform for the Seahawks after missing over a week with a calf injury.

Finally, Carroll was asked about the team’s two visitors, Paul Richardson and Justin Britt, and said both players had season-ending injuries and would need to be checked out physically before anything else.
