Jets Injury Report: Greg Van Roten Suffers Oblique Injury; Le’Veon Bell Limited in Practice With Hamstring Tightness(?)

NFL: New York Jets-Training Camp Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets have been dealing with numerous injuries throughout training camp.

Today the offensive line was hit by injury as right guard Greg Van Roten suffered an oblique injury.

Le’Veon Bell was also limited by hamstring tightness according to head coach Adam Gase.

Bell, however, did not agree with this diagnosis.

I’m sure the New York media will not blow this out of proportion.

In other news, Tarell Basham will be out for a few weeks with an ankle injury.

Basham actually has a chance to see playing time this year with the lack of depth the Jets have at edge rusher so his status will be worth watching.

Lawrence Cager, who suffered a knee injury earlier in the week, is still waiting to be evaluated.

In better news, it seems like Denzel Mims is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Apparently Wednesday’s practice was not a good one for the Jets offense. I’ll close with a tweet by Dan Hanzus which summarizes why I don’t have a write up telling everybody to panic.
