Bryce Love:
Head coach Ron Rivera is speaking to the media now. The team decided to give RB Bryce Love a "rest day" today after doing a lot of work in practice the past two days. Love is still on IR, and Washington has 19 days to decide whether to keep him there or activate him.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
RB Bryce Love isn't on the injury report, but he didn’t practice today. Rest day, per Rivera. Washington worked on turf the last days and they're taking it slow with that knee. The 21-day period to activate him off IR began Wednesday.

Cancer treatment:
Ron Rivera is addressing the media. He said he is starting to feel stronger after the completion of his treatment. He said this game will be the best he's felt in a while.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Having completed his cancer treatment, @WashingtonNFL
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
head coach Ron Rivera said "each day, I feel stronger and stronger."
He's also told people that his three S's (strength, senses and stamina) are coming back. He said this will be the best he's felt going into a game this year
Alex Smith:
Rivera also said Smith is starting to build chemistry with his receivers. The more work he gets with his teammates, the better off everyone will be.

Dustin Hopkins:
Washington PK Dustin Hopkins questionable for Sunday’s game in Detroit. Ron Rivera says it could be a decision that comes down Sunday morning
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) November 13, 2020
Ron Rivera said that kicker Dustin Hopkins (groin) could be a gametime decision. @WashingtonNFL has Kaare Vedvik on the practice squad, so he could be temporarily called up for Sunday's game if Hopkins can't go.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
No TDs on opening drives:
Washington hasn't scored an opening touchdown this year, but Rivera doesn't see a common theme that causes that problem. He just thinks it comes down to the offense finishing drives.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Motivation from playing in a terrible division:
Head coach Ron Rivera said that to have hope for this season, you just have to look at the records of the other teams in this division.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
"As long as you have a chance, that's what keeps everybody motivated."
Terry McLaurin vs Jeff Okudah:
If Terry McLaurin gets matched up against former Ohio State teammate Jeff Okudah on Sunday, Ron Rivera said it'll make for some good football. Hopes McLaurin, as a vet, can take advantage of it, if the Lions choose to place Okudah on him.

Steve Russ
Linebackers group:
Russ said the position group is still growing. At times, the players are making strides, but there are some lapses as well.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Consistency:
Russ said the group is working hard. He couldn't be happier with the process they've been going through to be prepared, but he wants to see more consistency.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Trust the process:
Russ said he wants his players to continue trusting the process, but he also wants to keep putting them in more successful situations.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Needs improvement:
Rivera has said throughout the week that the linebackers need to play better. Russ thinks that can light a fire under players, but he also says his player are aware they need to get better and they're dedicated to improving.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Run defense:
Russ says that the LB group has to be "a lot more consistent."
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
"When you're a linebacker, you don't want anyone running the ball on you." The Giants did that last week.
Thomas Davis Sr.:
Thomas Davis hasn't had much of an impact on Sundays, but Russ said the media doesn't see the impact that Davis has off the field. He has incredible insight, Russ said, and he brings the juice every day.
— Zach Selby (@ZachDSelby) November 13, 2020
Thomas Davis Sr. has not played much this season, but LBs coach Steve Russ said that Davis' energy, intensity and wealth of knowledge have been invaluable for @WashingtonNFL. Also said the media does not see the true impact Davis has on this team.
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
Ron Rivera:
LBs coach Steve Russ, who has coached Rivera since 2018, on how he is feeling:
— Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) November 13, 2020
"I'll tell ya what is noticeable right now: he's feeling a lot better." https://t.co/MADM0J1luy
Russ said it's noticeable that Rivera is feeling better. There were subtle things during Rivera's treatment where Russ could tell he wasn't feeling himself. But now it's awesome to see him getting better.

Deshazor Everett
Ron Rivera:
Deshazor Everett says the difference between this year's team and last year is that Ron Rivera stresses more 'details.'
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) November 13, 2020
Says the game slows down when "you're sharp on that." #WashingtonFootball @WSHFootballSI
Be aggressive:
.@Matthew_Paras asked Deshazor Everett where his aggression comes from. The answer was intense.
— Pete Hailey (@PeteHaileyNBCS) November 13, 2020
"What are we wearing pads for?... That's just how I play... I want them to know 22 hit me"
Deshazor Everett on his physical style: "What are we wearing pads for if we can't hit anybody?"
— Chris Russell AKA The Rooster (@Russellmania621) November 13, 2020
Says he "doesn't care about flags" but he's not trying to hurt anybody. #WashingtonFootball @WSHFootballSI
Deshazor Everett on his physical style: 'I want to make sure you know 2 2 is the one that hit me; 2 2 is coming downhill... If I just two-hand touch you, you have no stress catching passes over the middle."
